Cochran Hill Dog Run

Setting: Cherokee Park. The city lists Cherokee Park at 745 Cochran Hill Road, Louisville, KY 40206; use current park signage for the dog-run entrance.

Access: Listed by the Louisville Dog Run Association among its dog runs. Check permit and vaccination requirements before entering.

Size and layout: The operator describes roughly three acres with separate small-dog and all-dog sections. Look for the dog-run entrance on Cochran Hill Road; the wider park entrance is not your final destination.

Louisville dog-park permits: 2026 costs and entry

The operator lists a 2026 permit at $50 for the first dog in a household, $40 for the second, $30 for the third and $25 for each additional dog. The listed permit term ends December 31, 2026. Confirm current pricing before paying.

Prepare the application and rabies vaccination records, then follow the operator’s instructions for in-person submission at participating Feeders Supply stores. Contact the operator before travelling if you need visitor access. JustWalkMe does not sell permits or collect these documents.

Read the operator’s permit instructions and dog-run rules. Have required vaccination documentation ready and confirm the current fee directly. Keep your dog leashed until inside the designated area and clean up waste. Check the operator’s age and dog-size restrictions before bringing children or puppies.

Louisville dog-park questions

Does a JustWalkMe account let me into a dog run?

No. Park access and permits are handled by the dog-run operator. JustWalkMe helps with discovery and planning.

Can I let my dog off leash anywhere in the park?

Do not assume that dog-run access permits off-leash use throughout the surrounding park. Follow posted rules and use the designated area.

Can I use this guide without signing up?

Yes. These park details and official links are public. Create a Pet Passport when you want to connect with Pet Pals and plan together.

HOW JUSTWALKME HELPS

Useful first. Social when you're ready.

Browse local guides without an account. Join when you want to connect with Pet Pals, plan an outing and keep memories together.

01

Check access first

These dog runs use Louisville Dog Run Association permits. Follow the operator’s current application and rules; a JustWalkMe account is not a park pass.

02

Choose a calm first visit

Start with a short visit at a quieter time. Watch your dog’s comfort and leave if play becomes overwhelming.

03

Bring your own essentials

Pack water, a bowl, waste bags and a leash. Confirm facilities and closures with the park operator instead of assuming they are available.
